Parking
The property has on street parking, it's free, but subject to availability. Sometimes spaces are a little tricky to find, and you may need to park a few minutes away from the property. This happens when there is a major event happening in the town, such as one of the Music or Food Festivals. It can also happen on the weekend if it's raining (as people don't want to walk into town), instead they park for free near the flat which is just a short walk into the town centre.
We also benefit from our local pub's (The Bricklayers Arms) recent refurbishment. It's now really popular early evening for meals, but this popularitiy bring more customers, and more cars.
So I thought it may help if I provided you with a bit of local knowledge to help you find a space if you are staying for a few days and will be using your car, (I have numbered each photo to align with the numbers below);
1. Breidden Lane is accessed from Copthorne Road. I suggest you do not drive into Breidden Lane as it's a dead end with no turning available.
2. To unload a good option is to park your car outside the Stone Masons shop, here are 2 limited waiting spaces. These are on the opposite side of the road, slightly down hill from the lane.
3. Copthorne Road, adjacent to the flat has free parking and spaces when available. This where most of our guests park.
4. Just off Copthorne Road, about 30 seconds walk from the flat is a small road called Stuart Close upon the approach to a gated residential area. There are two spaces available here that are rarely full.
5. Opposite the pub is Pengwern Road, here there are many spaces. They are available to park without restrictions after 16.01 each day, and up until 09.59 in the morning. Sundays are without restrictions. (It's derestricted after 18.00 but you have two hours, and the restrictions start again at 08.00 but again you have two hours.)
6. Granville Street (SY3 8NE) is a good option, as there are always many unrestricted spaces available. Its a 3/4 minute walk.
7. Hafren Road is also unrestricted (running alongside The Bricklayers), but during restaurant hours it may be full of persons attending the Bricklayers
The photos below relate to each sentence.
To current guests;
I hope find the flat comfortable, and equipped with everything you need. You will have my What's App number so please don't hesitate to reach out to me if there is anything you need,
Thanks again,
Steve
